Steve Klein started coaching hockey in Arizona in 2006. He has coached with the Junior Coyotes and Arizona Hockey Union travel programs, Ozzie Ice and Ice Den house programs, and was the head coach for the Basha-Perry High School program with teams at the JV through Division 1 levels. Steve received his Level 4 Certification with USA Hockey in 2017. He was been the head coach of Timberline HS 2019-2024. He is currently our head coach for the U18 Boise Premier team and the goalie coach for Boise State ACHA Div 1 team.
Bryan grew up playing hockey in Columbus, Ohio, and after his U18 season he played Junior B for the Crush. In 2001 Bryan started coaching with learn to play at one of the local Columbus rinks. In 2005 he was the assistant coach for the Westerville Warcats varsity team, and the following year he took over as the head coach of the team. Due to work constraints Bryan stepped away from coaching until moving to the Boise area where he started coaching again in 2018.
Coach Stypinski was an assistant with Timberline before taking over as the Head coach of Boise High School 2020-2023.
This is Coach Stypinski’s third year with the Premier U18’s.
Two things you need to know:
First, don’t touch the pucks until he says to!
Second, don’t forget rule number one!
Coach Kevin started playing hockey at five years of age in Boise. He played until he was fifteen and the local ice rink closed. He was excited to start playing again at age 25 when the new Boise rinks opened. He has played consistently for the past 25 years.
Kevin was extremely excited when his son, who is now in college, enjoyed his love for hockey. Coach Rasmussen has coached many years of house and travel hockey. He first coached for the house league and the Hawks travel team in 2009. Since then, he has coached many seasons in the house program along with coaching the Hawks, Steelheads, and the inaugural season with the U18 Premier team. Kevin is also in his fifth season of coaching Mountain View Hockey team. He received his Level 4 hockey coaching certificate in 2018. Along with coaching hockey, he has coached around fourteen seasons of Soccer.
Outside of Hockey Kevin enjoys snow skiing, mountain biking, hiking, camping, backpacking, fishing, hunting, and restoring classic cars. He also received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from BSU and has worked for Micron for 27 years.
